We had the distinct pleasure of attending a very special evening hosted by Druid Theatre Company, celebrating five decades of A Night to Remember at the Heart of Galway’s Theatre Scene exceptional Irish theatre. This milestone event formed part of Druid’s 50th anniversary season, a tribute to the world-class productions and artistic excellence that have defined the company since its founding in 1975 by Garry Hynes, Marie Mullen, and the late Mick Lally.

On a night filled with warmth, legacy, and artistic brilliance, Druid Theatre Company hosted a Friends and Supporters Evening to celebrate an extraordinary milestone — 50 years of world-class Irish theatre. The event was a powerful tribute to the enduring influence of Druid on Galway’s cultural landscape and its impact on the global stage since its founding in 1975.
